AUBG e-mail problems
I wrote a story for defacto on Wednesday regarding some recent problems with AUBG’s e-mail system. I am happy to inform the AUBG community that the problems mentioned in the article have been resolved. To the best of my knowledge, AUBG’s e-mail web access is now fully functional.
The story was printed on the front page of defacto’s issue 32. You can read it here. Being frustrated by the communication breakdown caused by the problems with the e-mail system, defacto decided to push for the implementation of Google Apps for Education at AUBG. You can read more about that here.

I’m still against google, considering the neweset setup of the mail system with the search option. Spammy, true, but there are ways around it.
Why are you against Google?
Google [a.k.a. "Don't be evil" guy] is actually quite cruel and evil company if you have dealt with its paid business services. The way they behave is unseen for me even in the worst business practices. Example: Advertising with Google AdWords, your credit card is rejected with no reason (as it is fully loaded and it works on all other ePOS systems), you prolong the payment, couple of months later you want to pay and to start new Ad campaign with budget $1000, and you understand that you are banned from AdWords for life! For life, I mean for life, does not matter how many different accounts you register with completely different names, credit cards, billing addresses, IP addresses, ads topics, everything different, they know that’s you. How? Think how… Moreover you cannot contact any kind of customer support if you spend less than $25k on advertising per month (no response on emails; USA & UK call center system wants you to enter your customer number and then reject your call). And this is the company whose slogan is “Don’t be evil”. Make your conclusions about the future of the “cool” (at least for now) Google Apps.
