Dragan, I am not talking about special issues, that would be expecting too much. Daily is enough, but in the true sense of the word.

lazydaisy, I am blaming the whole industry, printing houses included. It is their duty to keep the public informed and they failed. Miserably (in my opinion). It was really sad to see all those front pages wishing everybody a Marry Christmas (Eve) on the morning of an energy crisis. Besides, I think Politika even owns a printing house (Dragan, please correct me if I'm wrong).

You should not limit it to the newspapers only. The whole country has decided to take a break from work/activity of any kind, excluding eating/drinking. People here have just one desire - to forget about any kind of work.

Newspapers printed for special purpose and delivered to the people? Dream on. Seriously, they barely have money to print what they print every day. Retired people grab that free 24 newspaper or by Kurir to read who done who.

Newspapers are the victim of crisis in Serbia. Since people don't have enough money or will to read every day, they tend to think in the line of "tv will inform people better and faster, we'll analyze it later and publish some crap everybody likes to read or see". Sad but true.

True, not reporting for 48 hours is not professional. However, I would not blame reporters, but either editors-in-chief, or whoever came with the idea of not printing on Christmas. Maybe the printing houses are just not open... hmm...
